Water & Irrigation Engineering
Professional agricultural water engineering solutions designed to improve water availability, irrigation efficiency and farm productivity.
Our Focus
What we design & deliver
We concentrate on three engineered water solutions that make farms productive, resilient and climate-smart.
Water Pans
Site assessment, hydraulic design, excavation, HDPE lining and commissioning of farm water pans and earth dams for reliable year-round water storage.
Irrigation Systems
Drip, sprinkler, centre pivot and solar-powered irrigation systems engineered for your crop, soil, topography and water source.
Pumps — Design & Implementation
Pump selection, hydraulic sizing, installation and commissioning of solar, diesel and grid-powered pumping systems for farms and schemes.

Water Pans
Reliable on-farm water storage for every season
A water pan is an engineered excavation — usually lined with HDPE geomembrane — that captures and stores runoff, roof catchment or pumped water for irrigation, livestock and domestic use. Properly designed water pans turn seasonal rainfall into a year-round supply, protecting crops from dry spells and reducing dependence on rivers and boreholes.
Why water pans matter for small-scale farmers
- Extends the growing season and enables two or three crop cycles a year
- Cuts crop losses from drought and unpredictable rainfall
- Lowers pumping and fuel costs by storing water close to the field
- Improves food security, household income and land value
- Reduces soil erosion by capturing runoff before it damages farmland
- Supports livestock, fish farming and kitchen gardens from one source
Irrigation Systems
Deliver the right amount of water, at the right time, to every plant
Irrigation is the controlled application of water to crops so farming no longer depends on unreliable rainfall. A well-designed irrigation system matches the water source, soil, topography and crop — giving farmers higher yields, better quality produce and the ability to grow all year round.
Types of irrigation we design & install
- Drip Irrigation. Water and nutrients are delivered drop-by-drop directly to the root zone through pipes and emitters. The most efficient method — ideal for horticulture, greenhouses, orchards and row crops.
- Sprinkler Irrigation. Water is sprayed over the field through pressurised nozzles, mimicking rainfall. Well suited to cereals, pasture, vegetables and undulating terrain.
- Centre Pivot Irrigation. A rotating overhead system that irrigates large circular fields with uniform coverage. Best for medium to large-scale cereal, forage and commercial farms.
- Solar-Powered Irrigation. Solar pumps drive drip or sprinkler systems with zero fuel cost — a climate-smart choice for off-grid farms and boreholes.
- Furrow & Surface Irrigation. Gravity-fed channels distribute water along the field. Low-cost and appropriate for suitable soils, flat terrain and specific crops such as sugarcane and rice.
Why irrigation matters
- Removes dependence on rainfall — grow through dry seasons and shocks
- Boosts yields by 2–4× compared with rain-fed farming
- Saves up to 60% of water compared with flooding, through precision delivery
- Allows fertigation — feeding crops through the irrigation line for stronger growth
- Turns idle land into productive, income-generating farms year-round
